LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND COACHING
Leadership is “the capacity to influence, inspire, rally, direct, encourage, motivate, induce, move, mobilize and activate others to pursue a common goal or purpose while maintaining commitment, momentum, confidence, and courage. It incorporates a clear purpose and vision which provide the fuel for inspiration, motivation and mobilization. The ability to draw the best out of other people and inspire them to maximize their potential and that of the resources they manage. Leadership is simply people who dare to be themselves and are able to express themselves fully………….you become a leader when you decide not to be a copy but an original” (Dr. Myles Munroe in Becoming A Leader, 1989)
From the beginning of time God the creator gave man the leadership mandate to dominate and rule the earth (Genesis 1.28). Therefore at Ebenezer College Virtual Smart School, we believe that students should be provided nurturing geared towards the maximum development of special gifts and talents. Our overall goal is to prepare individuals to be productive citizens dedicated to nation building while focusing on the maximization of leadership potential. At the Virtual Smart School, students select three leadership areas for development over a four years period. The first leadership area is identified at the start of the first year (grade 9). The second leadership area is introduced at the start of the second year (grade 10) and the third one is introduced at the start of the third year (grade 11). By the end of grade twelve, all students are required to demonstrate mastery level of the selected leadership areas. This process is fully outlined within the framework of The SMART Leadership Development Triad Handbook that is provided for Ebenezer College Virtual Smart School Students
